Sami Khayat was a prolific creator and producer of 62 satirical shows in Lebanon from 1960 onwards, accompanied by authoring several books in French. Additionally, he fervently championed “franbanais,” a unique blend of French and Lebanese Arabic. He shared the stage with his wife Nayla, forming a long-lasting artistic partnership. His path earned him the prestigious Medal of the French Order of Arts and Letters at the rank of officer.
