Initiated, funded, and executed by Jean Daoud, the “First Festival of Theater and Performances” saw the light in 1983.
It was the first of its kind in Lebanon.
The festival featured a selection of plays by renown theater professionals.
It showcased 12 theatrical performances. Furthermore, the festival undertook the renovation of numerous theater showrooms to accommodate the festival’s performances.
